Metabical: Positioning and Communications Strategy for a New Weight Loss Drug Essay
1. What is the decision-making process for Metabical? Who is involved? Metabical needs to decide whom to sell and what means to use in order to reach this group successfully. This decision has to be taken by Printup and her marketing team. The target market should be identified; first of all, the segmentation of the market needs to be done in order to analyze which segment of the market would be more attracted by this product. Besides surveyed people, physicians play a very important role. 2. How should Printup think about the segmentation of potential Metabical consumers? Who is the optimal target consumer? Printup should take into consideration the different goals individuals have towards losing weight, since not everyone have the same reason to lose weight, some are moved by the health risk and others just to look good. Furthermore, the willingness and ability to pay for the product should be considered to identify the optimal target market. After the data was studied, the optimal target consumer should be overweight women (25 to 30), ages 35 to 65, who are college educated since this group takes care more about their health and visit the doctor with frequency. 3. How should CSP identify and employ the differential advantages that Metabical offers to position itself in the marketplace? Since Metabical will be proven to have better results than any other product in the market along with less dangerous side effects, it will be easier to be differentiated from its competitors. It needs to be positioned as a quality product, backed up by the FDA. Then it would be perceived as a luxury type of product that will help individuals who struggle to lose weight to feel and look better. For a successful communication strategy, CSP has to focus on the individual and the physician, for the first group, a celebrity spokesperson should be used since they have power over the audience for being known and trusted. Furthermore, the message should highlight the importance of being healthy and having a better life.

At the time of depression. Adulthood is one of the peoms written in the same time as well. Adulthood is a short story about a girl and which shows her childhood and gradually coming into adulthood. It has small towns there and so Just by this we can figure out that girl is not from a rich family or place. in the next line it says ââ¬Å"sitting on the doctors porches with post dawn pre debsâ⬠. Sitting on the doctors porches refers to someone sitting on the steps and doing nothing. It shows as someone who has no Job or has nothing mportant to do, so they Just sit an d look around. It describes how the place where girl lives has people, who have not much t do and so they sit on door steps and kill time. when we read the next two lines of the peom, where is says ââ¬Å"i wondered if life would give me a chance to meanâ⬠. it relates with the fact that she is sitting there doing nothing and thinking she is worthless, and hoping life gives her a chance to make herself mean something important rather than sitting here.Narrator also mentions the slang language being used again and again in the poem like ââ¬Å"ustaâ⬠and the informal way she uses like ââ¬Å"and other bullshit stuff'. The influence of quantitative easing monetary policy on Japan and the Research Paper
The influence of quantitative easing monetary policy on Japan and the United States - Research Paper Example Expansionary monetary policies aimed at stimulating the economy usually involve central banks buying short-term government bonds so that the market interest rates can be lowered. Nonetheless, when short-term interest rates go towards zero, this approach may no longer be effective. In this kind of situation, the monetary authorities may employ the use of quantitative easing to stimulate the economy through purchase of assets that mature in the long-term rather than short-term government bonds, therefore decreasing the interest rates away from the yield curve. Quantitative easing may be important in assisting to make sure that inflation does not go below the target, but it has risks including over-efficacy than originally intended against deflation, thereby resulting in higher inflation in the longer term from increased supply or sufficiently effective in the event that additional reserves are not lent out by banks. Based on the opinion of various economists as well as the IMF, quantitative easing used since the beginning of the financial crisis that was experienced between 2007 and 2008, has been critical in mitigating various adverse impacts of the crisis (Gindin and Panitch 326). Various economists and analysts argue that the US Federal Reserve employed some type of quantitative easing from 1930 all the way to 1940s in the fight against the Great Depression. Nevertheless, as the Federal Reserve employed quantitative easing initiatives to address the effects of 2007-08 financial crisis, various critics have considered its actions extraordinary. Further, charts have been created to point out that, as a fraction of GDP, the balance sheet after the financial crisis had not gone past the percentages that were attained between 1939 and 48 as of May 2013. The phrase ââ¬Å"quantitative easingâ⬠was for the first time employed by the Bank of Japan when it was dealing with domestic

The Odyssey Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
The Odyssey - Essay Example Telemachus is the son of Odysseus, and he wants to stop the suitors from taking advantage of his fatherââ¬â¢s estate. He searches for his fatherââ¬â¢s news so that they can proclaim their estate. Odysseus Odysseus is portrayed as a leader with Homeric character. He is powerful, confident, and courageous, and wants to achieve glory. Conversely, he has a character trait that makes him dissimilar from the others since he is particularly intelligent, and this is evident by his deliberations before any action. His intelligence and quick thinking helped him in the difficult situations that he encountered. His intelligence saves him when he escapes from Cyclops cave, and when he hides the disgust from the suitors; ââ¬Å"please, play the wedding song for the guestsâ⬠(Steinruck, 2008). Odysseus is remarkably eloquent in his speeches because he manipulates and convinces the audience. His soft tongue makes many people in the audience favor his assertions. This is evident when he wi ns the trust of Nausicca by using a comforting approach. Just like other Homeric heroes, Odysseus is striving to achieve glory from the society through noble deeds, and he also wants to go home. He is an adventures person, and this is portrayed by his luxurious life with calypso in an exotic land even though it lasts for a moment. He practices infidelity with Calypso for a short time and realizes he wants to go back home because calypso does not compare to his wife. He is concerned about his home, because he constantly thinks about home while spending time with Phaeacians. Odysseus is torn between the quest of getting home and achieving glory. Most of his time for getting home is wasted by his search for glory. He is troubled when he loses men and time while sacking land. Odysseus is a patient man ââ¬Å"I will wait for as long as it takes in these cavesâ⬠while enjoying milk and cheese (Steinruck, 2008). His patience makes him trapped in the cave when the Cyclops returns. Home ric characters are presented to be static since they are complex and realistic. These characters do not divert from their mission as portrayed by characters in modern novels and stories. However, this rule is broken by Odysseus and Telemachus. Odysseus is consumed by his quest of achieving glory, and this makes him reveal his identity to the Cyclops, thus bringing Poseidonââ¬â¢s anger on him. He is willing to temper his pride with patience at the concluding part of the epic. Even when he is disguised as a pauper Odysseus does not react to the abuse, ââ¬Å"I will wait until the traps I have set and loyal people will place me at a suitable position for striking backâ⬠(Steinruck, 2008). Telemachus Telemachus was a child when his father left for Troy. At the beginning of the novel, Telemachus is still growing up. He is encountered by many challenges because he does not know how to protect the land from the suitors. Athena tells Telemachus to fight for his fatherââ¬â¢s estat e as she tells him ââ¬Å"you are no longer a childâ⬠(Steinruck, 2008). He is facing this challenge because he recently became aware of the real intentions of the suitors. Telemachus is told by Athena that his father is still alive, and he needs to go to Pylos and Sparta to enquire about any news of his father. While he prepares to make his journey to Pylos and Sparta, Athena visits him, and she is masked as a mentor. She tells Telemachus ââ¬Å"

For this reason, the manner and style of communication have taken different dimensions causing a collisi on between private and official communications.
